Week 7

This week in class we had a practical assignment.

Essentially we had to react to a simulated PR #crisis situation. This hypothetical scenario revolved around the abuse of Narcotics (or as they were referred to in the assignment, ‘drugs’). In our society the glorification of drugs and violence is a method of media manipulation used by the owner class to keep the workers disorganized and preoccupied.

Do you remember the first time you heard of Fentanyl?

Under Stalin the production, trafficking, and possession with intent to traffic of Narcotics (meant quite literally to refer exclusively to opiates) where Criminal Offences in the USSR. The 1926 Penal code recommended 1-3 years of imprisonment or hard labour for those found guilty in a court of law. Possession and personal consumption were not criminal until 1974.

Justin Trudeau has tabled cannabinoid legislation legislature without any amnesty clause.
