Corporations want situations analysed and influenced. In Canada technocracy, if used as a tool by the people for the people, could solve many problems. We always are hearing about metadata. But the connotations are increasingly negative: police state, corporate control over private information, and marketing (advertising, pr, et cetera) strategies (tactics too) that resemble something out of a Neil Postman fever dream nightmare dystopia. But just look at what is happening here in Canada, quantum computing, block chain, and the reintroduction of the long form census. We must analyse what works well for the environment and the welfare of the citizens and implement these ideas in a uniform manner.
